You will be hunting for Red Stag, Himalayan Tahr, Alpine Chamois, Captain Cook wild boar, and more. Hunt thousands of acres for multiple big game species with your Kiwi guide. Enjoy comfortable lodging with all the amenities of home, including gourmet meals, local wine and beer, Wi-Fi, and more. Good for 2024, 2025, or 2026 New Zealand hunting seasons. Big Game Hunting A typical day will begin with a full breakfast, a morning trip into the field to hunt, a relaxing lunch back at the lodge, a mid-afternoon nap, and another afternoon big game hunting experience. Then, enjoy cocktails, wine, appetizers, and dinner with courses inspired by the local Kiwi culture with fresh venison, chicken, beef and vegetables, and local desserts. Accommodation Enjoy a 4-night stay in two rooms (double beds) with En-Suite bathrooms in a lodge created with your comfort in mind. Savor local-inspired gourmet meals and superb New Zealand wine and local beer in the main dining area. Relax in the living room and share stories about your successful day of hunting. Located in the Canterbury region of New Zealand, approximately one hour’s drive from Christchurch, transportation from the airport to lodge included. Hunt thousands of acres of prime New Zealand ranchlands and farmland for up to 12-species of Big Game animals. The most popular time to hunt Red Stag is mid-February through the end of April, while the best time to pursue Tahr and Chamois is May through July. Since New Zealand is below the equator, the seasons are opposite of those in the United States. Therefore, your Big Game hunting experience is available from February 15 through the end of July for 2024, 2025, or 2026 seasons. Available Species: • Red Stag • Himalayan Tahr • Feral Goat • Wapiti • Alpine Chamois • Captain Cook Wild Boar • Fallow Stag • Arapawa Ram • Waterfowl (in season) Additional Information Hunter must complete travel within three years from the date of purchase. Reservations are subject to availability. Hunting trips must be booked with an outfitter within 90 days for 2024, 2025, or 2026 hunting seasons as dates and availability go fast. Children as young as ten who have taken a hunter safety course can hunt with their parents. A deposit of USD$2,000 per hunter is required to reserve hunting reservations and dates. The USD$2,000 deposit goes 100% towards each hunter’s trophy fees for animals harvested at the end of the hunt. Hunters must harvest a red stag with a minimum score of SCI375 or equivalent in the price of a Tahr, Chamois, or other game. Non-hunters can join the trip at the rate of USD$1250 per person. Not included with this trip: Roundtrip airfare to Christchurch, accommodations before or after the hunt, trophy fees for animals harvested or wounded, dip and pack or other taxidermy services, trophy export costs, rifle permits, or non-hunters. Item delivery: Winners have 48 hours to pay for their items. Pick-up will be in the parking lot of the YMCA, at the corner of Plant and Adler at the following dates and times: 11/19 5-6 PM, 11/20 6-7 PM. Winner must let auction organizer know in advance which pick-up time is preferred. The only payment accepted at pick-up will be cash in the exact amount. Unless otherwise stated, items must be picked up in-person after the auction ends; there will be no shipping of items.
